The Richmond Porsche Meet has grown into a must-attend event for many local Porschephiles, often providing a strong turnout of cars and people alike. This year was no different and despite a moderately threatening forecast for later in the afternoon, plenty of cars were turning up by mid-morning. As eclectic a group of cars as owners, RPM had something for everyone from early 356 models to the newest of Porsches, including a magnificent Viola Metallic 918 Spyder Hybrid brought by Bob Ingram. A 1997 911 Porsche Turbo S (type 993) was also on hand from the Ingram Collection and also finished in beautiful Viola Metallic.
The turn out was much greater than anticipated based on pre-registrations and catered lunch accessories ran low from time to time, but the delicious BBQ and buffet-style options more than made up for any missing forks.
From our vantage point everyone at RPM seemed to have a great time, including the entire Lüfteknic crew, and we even made it home before the skies opened later that day. Many thanks to the friends and customers who stopped by to say hello or make a purchase.
While we have been working on it for some time, we are now officially taking the lid off of our 991 GT3 Video Series. Partnered with Idea Television, who is producing the series, we will document what it will be like to live with and drive the Porsche super-car on a day to day basis, from normal driving characteristics and vehicle service, to track use and modifications.

Good development of the Porsche and Volkswagen investments
Stuttgart, 7 May 2012. In the first quarter of the current fiscal year 2012, Porsche Automobil Holding SE (Porsche SE), Stuttgart, reported a profit after tax of 327 million euro at group level. The profit was primarily attributable to the good development of Porsche SE’s two investments in the Volkswagen group and the Porsche Zwischenholding GmbH group. The profit from investments accounted for at equity amounted to 1.169 billion euro for the period from 1 January to 31 March 2012. This was counterbalanced in particular by a non-cash special effect recognized as an expense from the adjustment of the valuation of the put and call options for the shares in Porsche Zwischenholding GmbH remaining with Porsche SE totaling minus 810 million euro.
