Porsche unveils “Revive the Passion” webpage featuring PCA’s 1973 911T Coupe Restoration/Raffle Project

For the first time, Porsche Club of America will raffle off a fully restored classic – a 1973 Porsche 911 T.

A spectacular action for all lovers of classic Porsche vehicles: Porsche Classic is restoring a 1973 US version 911 T Coupé on behalf of the Porsche Club of America (PCA) under the motto “Revive the Passion”. The finished gem will be raffled off among PCA members and is to be publicly presented to the winner at the Porsche Parade in the USA in August 2011. Just this once, Porsche enthusiasts with a soft spot for oldtimers and youngtimers will be able to look over the shoulders of the Porsche Classic workshop specialists while they are working. 970_2Stuttgart/Leipzig. The new fourth Porsche model series is enjoying such popularity that only ten months after the start of sales, the Leipzig factory of the Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG, Stuttgart has already built the 25,000th Panamera. In addition to the Panamera, the new generation of the sporty, all-terrain vehicle – the Cayenne – is also being produced in the same facility in the State of Saxony. Read more

Green Light for Series Development of the 918 Spyder

Decision taken by the Porsche Supervisory Board

Stuttgart. In its session today, the Supervisory Board of Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG, Stuttgart, gave the green light for series development of the Porsche 918 Spyder. Reflecting the overwhelming response from the public and customers to the Concept Study, the Supervisory Board gave Porsche’s Board of Management the mission to develop a production model based on the car already presented. This concept version of an ultra-high-performance mid-engined sports car with plug-in hybrid technology made its debut at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show and at Auto China in Bejing, hitting the headlines worldwide. US Customers Choose Porsche as the Most Attractive Brand

Ranked number one in studies by J.D. Power and AutoPacific

Stuttgart. Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG, based in Stuttgart, enjoys an outstanding reputation among its US customers. Two recent studies confirm this again. The renowned study “Automotive Performance, Execution and Layout Study (APEAL)” by the US opinion polling research institute J.D. Power ranks Porsche first overall ratings for the sixth time in a row. Furthermore, the Gran Turismo Panamera was rated second-best and the Porsche 911 third-best vehicle.
