Porsche
gauges
VDO
has been the main supplier of gauges and related sensors, senders
for Porsche since the beginning. Restoration of the gauges, or repair
is done to bring them back up to operation. They are rebost, simple,
and last decades without much maintenance. Custom painted faces,
voltage conversions, Euro to US, or US to Euro calibrations, increased
tachometer counts, or cable drive to electric. It all can be donw

Generator

Now
that BOSCH has discontinued many of the early model electrics for
a variety of makes. It is left to independents to properly restore
the original components:

We
have a few conversion parts for 356 12V conversions such as wiper
motors, some gauges, and generators. Please inquire with your needs.

Powdercoating
Working
with a local powdercater. who has worked with virtually every Porsche
part, we can now offer our services of overseeing proper coating
of parts. Exhaust parts in need of ceramic coating, we can take
care of as well. The cost varies depending on quantity, how complcated
the part(s) are, and size. We can acurately quote, and turn around
parts quickly for you. Engine tin, suspension parts, seat bottoms,
sway bars, springs, etc can all be done with this technique. It
is best to call and discuss, parts need to be in our hands to acurately
give a quote.

356
Link Pin / King Pin rebuilds
Now
that many 356's are deep into restoration activity they all need
attention to the front end suspension. Most of the time the process
of greasing the front end was overlooked, or adjustments not done
preoperly. The link-pin bushings and the kink-pin bushings often
have dangerous amounts of wear. We offer a service of rebuilding
the front spindles for 356/VW type 1 and type 2. Lufteknic has all
the proper equipment, parts can be plated, painted, or powdercoated
if you desire. Spindle threads are checked, all surfaces inspected,
cleaned, and properly set-up to be installed on the car.
Price depends on needs.
We
do not offer an exchange program, you actually get the same parts
back that you sent. Time frame is generally a couple of weeks (
from your door back to your door) depending on finish level, and
needs.

Chroming,
Plating
Many
parts on Porsche's are plated with a variety of finishes. CAD, Zinc,
Nickel, Chromium, etc. We work with a great plater for redoing hardware,
brackets, and various sheetmetal. All kinds of parts can be chromed
and if you have needs or dreams, we can guide you through some of
what can and can't be done.
Custom
painting is another need that many have approached us about. Helmets,
engine tin, and other parts can also be tended to.

Vintage
License Plates
You
have your Porsche all ready for the road, but no period license
plates?
Lufteknic
has a great source for vintage license plates. NOS plates in pairs,
and interesting number combinations are often avaliable, Good used,
and even Restored plate sets are within reach as well. If you have
plates that need a cosmetic restoration this can be taken care of
too. Please inquire with what your needs. County or City tags, and
other rare license plate accesories are also avaliable.

Fuel
System rebuilds
Another
need we have developed a service for is fuel system component rebuilds.
Carburetors, Throttle bodies, slide valves, and fuel distributors
can be refurbished properly. Many of these rare pieces have been
neglected. Again the cost of this all depends on needs, type of
part, etc. Now that some of the fuel injected cars are decades old,
there is attention that is often needed to keep the cars with Motronic
or CIS - Jetronic alive. Re-bushing and rebuilding carburetors can
also be taken care of. Call with needs.
