Porsche LMP2
Porsche returns to prototype racing in 2006 teamed up with Penske
Racing. The program will be to develop and sell customer based LMP
cars. Powered by a V8 it will make it's first appearance in 2005 at
the Petit LeMans in the fall at Road Atlanta.

IMSA GT3 Cup Series
Some talk has been going on about this for a while. IMSA annouced
2/05 that 2005 will be the first year of the Porsche GT3 Cup sprint
races before select ALMS events. Similar to the SuperCup races that
prelude the F1 events currently. Michelin is the title sponsor.

Porsche GT3 RS
30
years of the rendition of the 911 RS. The latest 996 variant will
not be coming to North America. The GT3 RS items are for the tradion
of homolagation of its latest GT3 RSR race GT car. Staying true to
its name on its anniversary the RS will sport the red on white, or
blue on white paint scheme, with color coded wheels, lightweight glass,
roll cage, and racer like interior.

Porsche GT3
Initially
Porsche said the 996 based GT3 was not coming to the US, but after
much feedback from the US, the GT3 edition will be coming to America.
A flat-six producing 380bhp and 285lb-ft of torque. That's an impressive
105 horsepower per litre, enough to propel the GT3 from 0 to 60 mph
in 4.3 seconds, and to a top speed of 190 mph.

In
2004 the next generation 911 will be released. In 2005 the cabriolet
will make its marketplace debut. A few spy photos of the test mules
have been spotted recently testing at the Nürburgring, in Germany.

Carrera GT spotted
The
Porsche Carrera GT, perhaps the most advanced automobile Porsche has
yet to design, will in fact go into production. This car will also
be coming to America, in limited numbers. A production run is rumoured
to be around 500 units. V10 engine, monster 6 piston calipers, ceramic
brakes, it houses all of Porsche's latest technology.

Cayenne
The
Porsche Cayenne makes its North American debut at the LA Autoshow.
"The sport in the sport utility vehicle". It shares components
with the VW Touareg. Both VW and Porsche have 4WD offroad experience
with racing, as well as previous vehicle development, but this vehicle
is totally new, sharing no components with any other previous designs. |

The
most renowned European tuner show in Europe has to be the Essen Motor
Show. Taking place in Essen, Germany the manufactures, tuners, all
have their wares on display. The euro styling that is seen before
it comes to America.
