the calling: driving past it several times always seeing a tear in its eye with the for sale sign.....we gave it a chance on a new life...
the find: a poor 912, the underappreciated. It has been neglected for quite some time when Jim found it, but we saw more.
engine build: our 35+ year old engine becomes new again, with some modern updates. complete full flow oil system as well.
it's alive: the engine comes to life, quick check of endplay, gearbox installed, and run in out of the car, sounds great!!
chassis strip: going all out, down to the bare steel, and build it all up to new, check out those original floors!!
out with the old: the original 912 front suspension, like new bolts, rear swing plates, and the front bumper lip replaced.
panels: the individual parts get their chance to see if they match up, some fitting, and tweaking.
wheels: dolly is made, our chassis is now movable to allow us to get it in and out of the workshop
